Meet the Owner of Phoenix Therapies+
Amy Bland, MS-SLP, ADHD-RSP
Amy Bland is the founder and Executive Director of Phoenix Therapies+, where she leads a multidisciplinary team serving children and teens across the Forest Hill community. She holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University in Maryland and has advanced training in several specialized areas, including voice and swallowing.
She opened Phoenix Therapies+ in 2019 after spending more than two decades working as a speech-language pathologist in hospital and outpatient settings. Over time, she saw how confusing and overwhelming the process could feel for families. She wanted to build a place where you could get clear answers, understand what your child needs, and feel supported from the first conversation through every step that follows.
The practice began with a focus on speech therapy and grew as more families reached out for help in other areas. Today, Phoenix Therapies+ offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and educational support, with a team that works together to keep your child’s care consistent.
Amy continues to focus on building and supporting her team so families in Maryland can receive thoughtful care. Her goal is to ensure every family who walks through the door feels heard, supported, and confident in the path forward. Outside of the clinic, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and line dancing with her husband.
